A Writer’s Worst Nightmare.

Guess who’s back? Back again. I am back! Tell… everyone? 😛
Hey all! So, I recently dissapeared again and have been pretty absent from my blog, YouTube and sociel media. I promise that I have a good reason this time… and that reason is… I lost all of my writing.
I thought that I’d go more into detail in the form of video, because I enjoy showing you all who the person behind the keyboard is. I hope you enjoy!

Thank you all for watching!
If you haven’t yet read my novella, The Hunter: Monster Within, you can grab it right here: The Hunter: Monster within.
Here’s what people have to say about my novella, so far:
“Loved it. You’re style is fast paced and you don’t weigh it down with too much fluff.” 5/5 Amazon – Spoonydog.
“I haven’t enjoyed a book as much as this one for ages.” 5/5 Amazon – Erica.
“The Hunter was a monster story through and through. This was old-school horror at its best.” 4/5 Goodreads – Readtolivetowrite.

I’m so sorry to hear that you lost all of your writing. I’m no expert on computers and you sound like you do know about them but (silly question) have you taken your laptop to a specialist computer person? I once thought I had lost all my photos when my computer broke and this amazing man was able to retrieve them all, even though the machine was completely kaput. He said that computers never really delete anything. He didn’t even charge me much. Obviously, this might be impossible and you have done really well coming to terms with your loss. You are right to think that you will rewrite it even better. I’m sure you’ll be surprised at how much is still in your head. Best of luck. x

Thank you for your comment and support, E R. 🙂 Fortunately, I used to build custom computers, so was able to immediately perform all of the tests to see if things were recoverable. Unfortunately, the part that holds all of the information was the part that malfunctioned. (Which is a really unlucky thing to happen :P) Although, it was partly my fault for saving to this component. Thank you for your suggestion though, it is greatly appreciated. I am actually very surprised at how much I remember, especially when I sit down to write. It’s almost like I’m just writing the second draft, at the moment 🙂

Good going getting back into it! Yes, a writer’s worst nightmare. I keep popping my current WIP on sound cloud when I remember. So happy you’re finding the writing flowing nevertheless, maybe that’s a lesson to us all?

Thank you! Putting your work on a sound cloud is a great idea. Hopefully other writers will learn from this, I have certainly learnt my lesson. Not just to back up my work multiple times, but also to stop writing something that I’m not enjoying. This rewrite is going faster than I ever imagined it would. Thank you so much for your comment Lynne, hope you’re well. 🙂
