An Update Of My Work And Me.

Hey everyone! How are we all doing? Long time, no… post. I’ve been absent from this platform for almost two months now. Unfortunately, other life’s necessities did not grant me the time for this creative outlet. However, with life feeling more structured and new routines becoming less daunting, I am back. I am refocussed, energised and feeling unstoppable.

With that said, please allow me to share some news of my projects and myself:

Beyond reality, Born of dust.

Beyond

This is my current work in progress that I am focusing hard on finishing. I am so excited to get this feature-length story out there for everyone to read. For me, Beyond Reality is a piece that shows how far my fiction has come, in terms of my writing ability. It also shows a side of my writing that I have not yet shown. As for a release date, I’m aiming for early next year!

The Hunter: Grace.

The first book in a planned trilogy, to follow on from my novella debut, The Hunter: Monster within. Now, with a solid plan for every book and a determined ultimate conclusion, The Hunter trilogy is still high up on my priority schedule. My plan of taking a creative break from writing the first novel, I believe, was a positive one. Although this means a later release of the novel, my passion for wanting to write it has grown ten-fold.

I’d recommend taking a break from a work progress to any writer that feels like they’re losing interest in their own work. Don’t force yourself, because it can risk the potential of your piece. Work on something else. Let your creativity flow naturally.

With that said, the chapters that I have produced for the first book are some of my best work. For an apocalyptic dose of monstrous dark fantasy, keep an eye out for The Hunter: Grace, due next year.

The Hunter: Monster Within.

My first released book. My debut into the scary world of being an independent author. In my eyes, The Hunter: Monster within, was a success. It showed me what to expect with future releases. It taught me how to deal with criticism. But I think, ultimately, it gave me the boost to my confidence that I needed to progress in my writing journey.

This novella holds a place in my heart for the achievement that it represents. However, it could be better…

With a good amount of feedback from my readers, I have identified improvements that can be made. The novella was written very early in my writing journey, and now with the experience and practice that I have behind me, I feel that I can implement these improvements. Along with the obvious corrections that are needed, I will be adding chapters and re-writing sections. This will all be available in a second edition of the book, coming mid next year!

Featuring in a “How to write fiction,” book!

Me… in a how to write fiction book… who’d have thought it? Certainly not me. Well, the incredible author, Lily Bloom, has deemed me worthy to feature in her next book! Writing fiction is a passion of mine, but alongside that, encouraging others to follow their dreams is a purpose that I have bestowed upon myself. So, to feature in such a book to encourage other fiction writers is an honour. Lily’s book is due to be released February next year! I will keep you updated.

Me, myself and I.

Writing fiction and sharing my thoughts on subjects regarding fiction has become easy for me these past years. However, talking about myself is still difficult. Those of you that have followed me here for a while may know of my struggles. So, I guess, for this last part, I just wanted to let you all know that I’m good. Really good. (I don’t like the word good, but it will suffice for this scenario.) I am probably feeling the best that I have done in about ten years, both mentally and physically. These past few months have been great. I have created structure in my life. I have goals. I have dreams. But, most importantly, I have the confidence in my own ability to achieve the things that I want life.

With that said, let me reword how I am… I am refocussed. I am energised. I am unstoppable.
